Media Relations Manager
Public Notice, a 501 (c) 4 non-partisan economic focused organization, seeks to fill its Media Relations Manger position.
Responsibilities include serving as primary point of contact for all media inquiries, pitching Public Notice products, press releases, OpEds, etc to print and online reporters. Leading television and radio booking efforts for Public Notice staff and surrogates. Responsible for regularly placing Public Notice staff and surrogates on local, regional and national TV and radio shows. Build and maintain relationships with relevant members of the media. Creating and executing an ongoing OpEd writing and placement campaign as well as manage outside press vendors to further the reach of Public Notice products and projects.
Other duties include: Assisting the Communications Director in developing and implementing rollout strategies for various products and projects. Assisting the Communications Director in developing and implementing a long-term communications strategy. Collaborate in the development of talking points and general messaging guidance for all forms of communication including press releases, op-eds and interviews. To identify opportunities to promote Public Notice products and initiatives in the daily news cycle and provide guidance for junior communications staff.
Qualifications Include
Bachelor’s degree required (related field is preferred)
3-5 years of communications experience in a campaign or Capitol Hill office
Dedication to the goals of the organization and sound economic principles
Strong writing and editing skills
Able to handle multiple projects at once and meet quick deadlines
Solid existing relationships with political and Congressional press and able to build relationships with relevant press
Able to think beyond traditional press outreach and utilize all communications platforms including social media, paid advertising, and grassroots outreach.

Writing and Editorial Manager
Public Notice, a 501 (c) 4 non-partisan economic focused organization, seeks to fill its Writing and Editorial Manager position.
The Writing and Editorial Manager is responsible for developing written content such as OpEds, general correspondence, articles, scripts and other strategic level communications and seeing it through to publication or promotion. The Writing and Editorial Manager will also be responsible for copy editing and proofreading for all written content produced at Public Notice as well as performing research projects as assigned. They will work with each department within the organization as well as various partners to ensure the highest level of written content is maintained.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
A minimum of 4 years of writing and editing experience
Outstanding written and editing skills
Ability to work independently and think strategically
General understanding of economic and fiscal policy a plus
Preference for working in a fast-paced, collaborative and creative work environment
A personal political philosophy compatible with the organization’s mission and public policy objectives
Self-motivated, organized team player, with a high sense of urgency that is able to handle multiple projects at one time

Paid Intern
A 501 (c) 4 non-partisan economic-focused organization seeks to fill an internship position. The goal of the organization is to advance open markets and economic growth.
The intern has a variety of responsibilities depending on what is most needed on a given day, such as assisting with written policy messages, strategies for written communication, press outreach, and administrative tasks. The intern will work mainly with the Policy team and Earned Media team. This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer.
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree (or within one year of graduation) in relevant field
Outstanding research and communications skills
Preference for working in a fast-paced work environment
A personal political philosophy compatible with the organization’s mission and public policy objectives
Self-motivated, organized team player, with a high sense of urgency, and passion for economic freedom.
